Punjab Kings

The Punjab Kings (formerly PBKS until 2021) have proven one of the more consistent teams in Indian Premier League cricket over recent seasons, finishing sixth or seventh each time and just missing out on qualifying for playoffs by one win. Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Harshal Chahal first burst onto the scene during this season, when his record-equalling 32 wickets earned him his debut India call-up. Since then, his bowling has helped RCB win seven out of 11 away matches thanks to Chahal. This impressive achievement makes them one of the premier road teams.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), led by Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen, claimed their playoff place with a victory against Chennai Super Kings on Monday. Chasing 181, Kishan played an exceptional innings that featured seven fours and three sixes while Pat Cummins picked up a vital three wicket haul of 28 runs to propel SRH past CSK for 16 points from 13 matches while their net run rate dropped significantly compared with CSK’s NRR. SRH now hold third spot while CSK have dropped six spots due to declining NRR numbers.

Gujarat Titans

Delhi Capitals have recently moved up in the standings with their win against Punjab Kings, moving them one spot up into fifth place behind Rajasthan Royals, with just five points separating them from fourth.
