Zimbabwe last played in an international Test match in September 2005 and officially withdrew from international cricket in January 2006. However, Zimbabwe continues to participate in One-Day Internationals. West Indies proved superior to Zimbabwe at Wankhede Stadium, leading to their defeat and moving them ahead in Group 1. South Africa remain on top while Zimbabwe drop from contention at the bottom with their net run rate taking an enormous hit.
